Allsop to host first auction of 2016 on February 25th

Allsop have announced details of their first auction of 2016 which will take place on Thursday February 25th, commencing at 9am. 250 properties will go under the hammer in the RDS Concert Hall with a combined reserve of EUR31m.

Commenting at the launch of the February catalogue, Robert Hoban, Commercial Director, Allsop said: “An interesting twelve months lie ahead for the property market in this, an election year. With general economic indicators looking positive, there is a renewed confidence in the property market as a target for investment. We expect to see an increase in the volume of residential and commercial properties placed on the market in 2016, to meet this growing demand. For example, our database of buyers has grown by 12% to over 64,000.”

He added: “For our part, we continue to innovate and evolve our services in line with the market and customer demand. Exciting developments include the growth of our online business and the launch of a high end commercial investment auction for the private market. These services will run alongside and will complement our popular traditional auctions.”

This residential investment auction offers a large selection of houses and apartments for sale in prime Dublin locations and around the country. Exciting investment opportunities include multi-unit apartments and houses along with a selection of 60 commercial properties.

Over 20% of the auction properties are located in Dublin with houses and apartments in sought after addresses such as Rathgar, Blackrock, Donnybrook, Rathfarnham, Rathmines, Monkstown and Ranelagh. A selection of houses available to purchase include a vacant, recently refurbished end of terrace four bedroom house at 181 Rathgar Road, reserve range EUR850,000 – EUR880,000; a tenanted 3 bedroom semi-detached mews located behind 181 Rathgar Road, reserve range EUR350,000 – EUR380,000; a mid-terrace three bedroom house located off Mount Merrion Avenue in Blackrock, reserve range EUR575,000 – EUR625,000; a detached four bedroom period house in Rathfarnham, reserved at EUR400,000; an end of terrace four bedroom house in Rathmines, reserved at EUR380,000; and a semi-detached three bedroom bungalow in Ranelagh, reserved at EUR280,000.
